While users can access QuickBooks from several different platforms including PC, Mac, smartphone, and tablet, there is a growing number of users of QuickBooks on Chromebook. These are further available as different plans and products to cater to the needs of businesses. It is available in three variants, namely QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, and QuickBooks Enterprise. With new releases and regular updates, it is one of the most powerful yet simple accounting platforms available in the market yet. I bet we'll see that kind of functionality in a version that costs $20 more per month than we're paying now.Nearly three decades of its existence, QuickBooks has evolved to become the firm favorite accounting software, especially for small and medium businesses.

It has to be one or the other.you can't say w/ a straight face that a company as large and profitable as Intuit needs external accountants to tell them how to make their software better.

Really? You need me to tell you that having multiple tabs and windows like the desktop version and the desktop app is an improvement? Either you're not very bright over there at Intuit or your "please feedback" suggestion is really a smokescreen for something else. Why do you need someone to tell you that you need it needs to do some fundamental things? Do you not have any accountants that you go to test these things? Do you not use it yourself? Does an Intuit employee really sit there and use it and say "yes, this is fun.to switch back and forth between the balance sheet and income statement and journal entry screens I need to just keep hitting the browser back key, this is so enjoyable and easy to move around this software". That's how much you are letting your customers down. We are less than 6 months into what was a very rough conversion due to "known issues" and considering what our next platform will be besides QBO. I do hope you consider rethinking this CRAP CUSTOMER SERVICE DECISION. You are pissing off your small business client base, Intuit. The product has not even been fully abandoned yet, and I already cannot open multiple windows in the app, and I need to log in again if my computer goes to sleep and loses connection. WHAT IF I WANT TO HAVE MULTIPLE COMPANIES OPEN AT THE SAME TIME? WHAT IF I WANT TO SIMULTANEOUSLY LOOK AT CUSTOMER AND PURCHASE ORDER LISTS / VENDORS? WHAT IF I WANT TO FLIP BACK AND FORTH BETWEEN CUSTOMER LISTS AND VENDORS? The ONLY think that makes it bearable is the app which separates it from the regular browser and deals with the other issues? The QBO workflow is terrible, with no multiple windows, having to juggle with other web window activity, repeated logins.arrrrrggggggg! We are furious over this, after switching to QBO from Desktop. Your Prioritization process - what a laugh. I sure hope the developers have something fantastic planned to make it worth losing the efficiency of the multi window functionality. QBO paired with the desktop App was the best of both worlds, ability to access on the go from any browser, but the efficiency of the desktop windows. I'm dreading having to go back to a single view program, it will be so daunting and inefficient. Who in their right mind prefers to close one company and log into another in order to switch between companies rather than clicking from one tab to the other? Who prefers closing an invoice they are working in to view details of the company or details of another invoice or any other scenario where you might need to view more than one thing at the same time.

I think if QB had made a better effort to inform QBO users of the benefits of the Desktop App, more users would have used it. The App allows a user to have multiple companies and multiple tabs open at once, while in the browser version of QBO, the user can only have one company and one view open at a time this is very inefficient. I was using QBO for over 8 months before I found out there was a Desktop App for online. They state that is due to lack of use and that they will be able to focus on other improvements, but I believe the lack of use is due to lack of promotion. How extremely disappointing that support for the QBO Desktop App is being discontinued.
